Elephants love VWs
Phil74Camper - August 8th, 2014 at 07:32 AM

This was on the news last night, and on page 35 of the Tele today.

An elephant in the Pilanesburg National Park in South Africa apparently had an itch that needed scratching. So it rubbed itself against the nearest object - a VW Polo. VWs are tough but it did suffer some damage!

The car was not so lucky. From what we could see and hear, all the windows were smashed, the roof was badly dented and the entire top part of the car smashed. All four tyres had been blown and the chassis broken

Yep - I reckon it suffered "some" damage

True - some of that isn't going to buff out. But - like all modern VW passenger cars - the Polo is built around a unitary body. It doesn't have a 'chassis'.
