my jaw nearly hit the ground when i saw Dodd winding that splitty out over 80mph when we were cruising back from bellingen
he left us all behind in the dust LOL
how about the poor bugger from victoria?
Hi
I would like to thank eveyone that attended.
Saturday at Bellingen was blast, we were filmed coming into town by the Getaway crew, so keep an eye out for it on your telly. We had about 120 cars
in the convoy to Bellingen and got hassled by a PMT highway patrol officer.
Sunday was fizzer with very heavy rain all day, at least the rains going were its needed. Sawtell hasn't had any rain since the Newcastle storms and
is on water restrictions so if you need a drought fixed, have a VW show.
A few of us braved the go kart track at Raleigh in the rain, talk about a hoot. Each corner was taken in a series of under steer and over steer
manoeuvres. Cant wait to try it in the dry.
Its on again in 2009, were looking at dates soon.

Hi Ferns mum
The park is run by the council, Ray the local guy asked if all the VW campers could be put together but to no avail. We are going to work on this
We are working on booking all the cabins in the park for the VW people in 2009, but still have the park handle the booking side of things. The whole
idea of the weekend is to keep it simple and low cost for the VW people. I booked 4 cabins and had to sort out the accommodation for all the people in
them, I sure don't envy Donna doing the same thing for all of Valla. We had 4 people in our cabin, so the accommodation worked out to be $82 per
person for the weekend, bargain.
Maybe in 2009 VW people in cabins could sublet to other VW people who are homeless, there were a few cabins with only 2 or 3 people in them and they
sleep 5, the more people in them the cheaper it gets as long as they don't snore and stink out the toilet.
CAFFINEPUSHERMAN, thanks very much for making the effort to come, what doesn't kill your car makes it stronger. I saw you walk by and then you were
gone, you must have needed a deepfried peanut butter & jelly sandwich after what you had been through.
Steve
I almost wish I took the family. They would have enjoyed the bello markets. Actually I might have a couple more kids... those three violin buskers
made a fortune. I dont know if the Jazz festival is a regular thing, but it would be good to stick to that weekend. There were some good acts playing
about Bellingen, the best one I found at the servo of all places!
The karting in the rain was bloody hilarious. 1 lap out of 11 without a spin :jesus An organised relay race would be a lot of fun.
amazeer bello has the jazz yearly as well as blues & the global event markets monthly & fruit markets fortnightly its a great old town with heaps &
heaps of artists of all descriptions living there nowadays, just a few kl's west is the promise land "what more can be said".
if you like a variety of music the global is a must do event once in your life(shit i sound like getaway) if anyone visits there get off the main
street & drive around the town its worth it.
cheers wally

I checked out the real estate while I was there. If there's any of it left in 15 years when I am ready for semi retirement, I may just move in next door.
Hi
Bello markets were great, I still didnt see the whole thing. Did anyone see the guy that made barbies out of old LPG cylinders?
Up that way is where I want to retire, maybe on the river at Urunga, we could get a whole old farts VW thing happening up on the north coast.
Steve
it twas a good weekend good to catch up with everyone and the rain didnt stop till yesterday i think we had something like 350-400mm of rain in that
week!!! thanks again people cant wait till 2009!!
thanks
rhys
yep shame about the weather on Sunday, spewin i didn't run up to the go-karts on the chance someone else was silly enough to want a
run............guess there were some other crazies around after all.
Markets cruise was cool, with a good turn out of VW's. it was funny watching the locals looks, unlike Valla, where most of them know what's going
on, the Bello hiipies were quite amazed.....
anyways only one shot of us washing up early on Saturday.......left the camera where i took this picce DOH!
well done everyone:thumb
