h - November 28th, 2007 at 10:52 PM

hey all,
now that summers heat is back more n more beer will be swilled around the country so whats your fave beer and the one you usually drink the most?
i like shofferhoffer weitzen beir with a slice of lemon from the father land as my fave
but normally i drink haagan gold as its readily available down the road n its fairly cheap @ $24 a cartoon..
hmmm beer!

_me_ - November 29th, 2007 at 01:06 AM

i been drinking a lot of Kronnenburg [sp?], Peroni and "Pure Blonde" lately ... but now summers finally here I've ditched the stubbies and gone onto the pint glass gin and tonics!! waaaahooooo!

frenzix - November 29th, 2007 at 04:51 AM

haagan give me a wicked headache. Coopers red on the other hand is fit for kings.

vw54 - November 29th, 2007 at 05:45 AM

home Brew

or if your in the local Dr Resches

or if yr in the upmarket pubs the James Squire Pailale

baybuscamperkid - November 29th, 2007 at 08:18 AM

Boags are a reliable favourite, but I got nothign against a Beez Neez, Coopers Red or somehtign German on occasion.

56astro - November 29th, 2007 at 08:25 AM

Carona

Little Creatures

Boags Premium

:tu:

ancientbugger - November 29th, 2007 at 08:30 AM

Becks when I can get it, VB is normally reliable if I go to a pub but at home it's Coopers Bavarian home brew.

Bizarre - November 29th, 2007 at 09:03 AM

Becks / Stella / Pure Blonde
Resche for a change

If out Boags Light

Matt Ryan - November 29th, 2007 at 09:19 AM

My favourite is cold wet beer, followed closely by free beer.

Regards,

Matt.

Dasdubber - November 29th, 2007 at 08:04 PM

I can't choose one particular favourite but general trends suggest winter tends to be associated with heavier pilsners (eg. bitburger or hansa), then coming into summer any ales and lagers like peroni, sol/corona (easy to drink but not necessarily the best beer), asahi/kirin.....mmmm......beer.....

h - November 29th, 2007 at 08:48 PM

oh yeah asahi hmmm
also my fave latvian beer is Zelta and also Cesis beer
hmmm baltic beer n women.. hmmm making me thirsty

if your interested..

cant decide whether to argue the order of those 2 or not.

Grey 57 - November 30th, 2007 at 07:55 PM

bit partial to Becks and Peroni's.
Any free beer is good.

Funny thing about beer is that it has a pecking order I reckon. You cant start with the good stuff, like Crownies and then go to VB. You can only work (drink) your way up the beer ladder:crazy:

$2.63 homebrand baja - November 30th, 2007 at 07:59 PM

coopers.......or corona.. In fact i am enjoying a couple riiggghhht now, sons been dragged off by the gang to go watch a soccer game, so I am free to procratinate from the work I am supposed to be doing without interuption ;) horrayy for the internet....and beer.........and freedom of speech and the right to dribble crap freely:D

steve-89 - December 5th, 2007 at 08:39 PM

Bizarre - December 26th, 2007 at 11:33 AM

Got a case of Little Creatures Pale Ale for Christmas and noticed a picture of a Split single cab on the box.

Anyone know anything about this split??

5PL1TDCS10N - December 26th, 2007 at 12:46 PM

They have a single cab shop truck thats sometimes parked out the front in Freo...its a distansé though(*looks good from a distance);)

My fav beer(s) is Feral Brewing Co's White(Belgian white beer) and Little Creatures "Rogers"...oh and when I want to punish my liver you can't go past VB's!hehe

Joel - December 26th, 2007 at 05:40 PM

beer pfffft

http://timesonline.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/daffyd_thomas.jpg

I'll have another Bacardi and Coke Please Myfanwy....LOL

but nah cant go wrong with TED or carlton cold

pete wood - December 27th, 2007 at 04:51 PM

as kich as it sounds, I think Corona is the winner round here. I've tried coopers, that new St George Ale by boags and a few others that mates swear by, and I have bees knees in the fridge at the mo, but I just can't go past Corona for being smooth and crisp without being so potent that it makes me go to sleep after one bottle.

ancientbugger - December 27th, 2007 at 05:43 PM

Well my number 1 son bought me a carton of Becks for christmas while number two son bought me a load of stuff for doing the home brew:tu: You would think I'm a bit of a p*ss head but I don't drink that much.....honestly:no:

I'm with you there Spook. Only time I drink anything else is if someone else is paying.

I have simple tastes. I gave away a bottle of grange that I won because I wouldnt appreciate it and the missus couldnt bear to drink something so expensive. I dont rate the crownie any higher than a tooheys. I'm happy to drink a pure blonde or a VB. A cascade premium light or a sterling if I really have to drink something yet drive. I wont drink corona unless I have to. I wont drink stella at all.

derraux - December 28th, 2007 at 05:42 PM

whatever i can afford at the time. do love a guiness though too expensive to drink on a daily basis.
