I won't post too many pics up here, but moreso a bit of a snapshot of a few of the vw shop visits and open houses in the last week leading up to the
VW Classic - some very nice cars with some very big budgets!
Shawn Geers runs a performance shop/engineering from his home - has a killer mid 10 second street beetle (blue car in background) and currently
building a pro stock car for a customer.
One example of Shawn's handy work (blurry pic unfortunately)
House of Power (heads up performance) shop dyno:
Customer's engine. Roger Crawford's (owner of shop) super street ghia runs in the 9's in the quarter mile and into the 5's in the eighth mile (no
turbo!).
JayCee open house (nice line up of race cars out the front)
Between 12 and 1pm each day people can visit Chip Foose's shop to check out the amazing builds happening (budgets start at $200K so no complaining
about your vw resto cost please...haha)
Was fortunate enough to meet the man himself and have a brief chat (thats me on the right in case people don't know who Chip Foose is).
Octavio's Kustom 1 restoration shop
Ex-Aussie container van in for restoration (sign writing will be replicated) for a collector in the US
Octavio's barny panel
Palm green/Sand green always looks good
Another of Octavio's own buses - this is very nice
Cool Westfalia trailer
PG/SG 15 window
West Coast Classic Restorations again had some very nice cars in for restoration as well as others who attended for the open house. They were just
finishing Jesse James' 50 (or maybe 51) cab when I visited late last week.
Vee Dub Parts Unlimited also held an open house at which some cool cars were on display.
Thats about it for now, there are heaps more pics in different albums relating to the above shop visits here in case anyone is interested.
