Do the Empi VDM steering wheels fit a '63 model Karmann Ghia without any modification?

I'm looking at getting one, does anyone have one here in Oz for sale, and/or know about what I should expect to pay?

Yes they would with the later 60's spline. Expect to pay about $500US for a mint one with an Empi horn button.Cheaper if with the ugly blue horse carriage button.They're very nice to drive with, feels quite soft to the hand but the wheel itself is solid.

Thanks for the reply, been out of town a few days and only just back. I'd looked around on a few ads and that fits in with what I've seen.

Funnily enough I don't actually like the Empi badge, even though they seem to be worth more - prefer the coach buttons in either blue or red. Each to their own I guess!
