New addition to the family

Hi Guys

I have been looking for a straight 76 beetle for a long time that was also very straight and original and after a lot of searching found this a few months ago.

Now all I need to do is decide on what I'm going to do with it!

Martini Olive...what a great colour!

Regards
Greg

My second favourite model Beetle, following the pre- 55 ribbed door models :starhit:

Looks very nice!

Cheers

Looking good Greg, just lose the white walls !!

Looks great. That used to be George's from Classic Vee Dub.
I have to agree with you on the colour as my new ride is the same but a 75.

Hi Craig

Why does everybody hate the whitewalls :) ?

Hi Spearsy

I didn't get it from George and when I asked the owner the history he didn't mention anything about George...anyway, doesn't really matter.

Regards
Greg

I remember George having it for a while......probably about 3-4 years ago now.

Ahh! It's always nice to get a bit of the history of a car. Thanks.

Interestingly, when I got my Martini Olive L bug (about 25 years ago), I hated the colour. I reckoned when I could afford it, I would get it re-sprayed any other colour.

Since then, it has grown on me, and when I had it re-sprayed a few years ago, I had it done in - you guessed it - Martini Olive.

It is a great colour - rather distinctive, and doesn't seem to show the dirt - hardly ever looks dirty.

Yours looks good - I will have to check it out when I am down at some of the Sydney shows.
