This is a conrod out of my original 149 motor that was in my EH. I picked this up out of the engine bay, there was no dissassembly required to get this part. Except for self detonation.

This is an old piston that came with a bunch of stuff that I bought from Stan, an old Speedway Midget guy.

These cost me about $40 each (x8 in the set!), and bent like bananas
because the cam profile I was using was bogus and had harmonic issues between 6200 & 7600 rpm.

All brands of rockers break if things are not set up correctly.
Pauter Aluminium, Berg, Autocraft, left to right.

42psi boost over an area of 10 square inches equalsa 420lb force...about 190kgs.

These were out of my 2918cc combo, and were a result of cold failure...too much cylinder pressure for the rod design.

Any one with some new additions?

must be hard to post these images of breakages due to incorrect tolerences, gear failure due to fatigue or even poor quality casting etc . just to see what can happen when things go wrong as i cant even imagine the time that goes into analising the reason why and how to ovecome the problem so it wont happen again .you guys are flirting with danger every time you try something diffrent and to play a game of russian roulet with such exspensive toys must take some guts .
i can remember some memoriable let goes my dad had as a dirt speedway driver racing TQs sprintcars etc was damn expensive hobby but in the end he solved most lproblems by analising talking and experamenting . wish i had some pics of what nitro did to some mtrs when it was allowed .
