low back seats in a "69 beetle and antiquing vinyl

Hey guys, i got a few questions i thought might be able to be answered in the same post about seats.

Q1. can you fit low back seats into a 69 beetle? a friend of mine said something about the runners? T or L runners? how do i tell which ones i have?

Q2. Is there a way to get new vinyl looking old (read "well warn") quickly?

Q3. is anyone selling old low back seats with ratty vinyl somewhere near brisbane?? i'd prefer the ones with rounded tops if that makes sense... i have no idea what shapes of seats came in what year models

and lastly because i just can't find a picture of it anywhere.... will red seats and door cards etc match black carpet? i'm assuming it doesn't really as i can't find a picture on the internet anywhere hahaha ... :)

I re-trimmed the whole car... I'm an upholsterer/motor trimmer. That was a customers car.

A 69 would have had lowbacks in them anyway, highbacks didn't start till 72.

70 and earlier bugs have the L runners and 71-74 have the T runners, so there were never any factory L rail high back seats here in Oz.
You can fit later T rail seats into early L runner cars but they are pretty loose and wobbly.

Thanks mate! You don't happen to know of anyone, preferably in bris that has a set lying around?
