anchorage point for a child seat


i need help i am wondering if anyone in brisbane can tell me where i can get a an anchorage point installed for a child seat and the rough cost?

as i am looking at taking my niece out for the day shopping and stuff and need to be able to have a baby seat in the car.

Talk to Queensland Ambulance Service, they should be able to tell you. If not, try a car importer/compliance modifier, as they have to do this to all the imported cars.

Many Auto shops like Auto One are registered child restraint stations in NSW...
You can buy the locking piece virtually anywhere, then bolt it under the rear window using a large steel washer so the bolt cannot pull thru....
or Maybe you could drill the hole in the bottom of the area behind the rear seat, so it cannot be seen...

I'm guessing You are talking about a beetle....

New cars have them under the rear window....
in the centre....
just make sure you have a heavy large flat washer or piece of steel so the bolt cannot be pulled thru the steel..
same as seat belt bolts...

For something as imporant as this you can never be too careful. Probably best to check with state requirements, and have an expert do the installation for to be sure it is done correctly.

Queensland Ambulance at Spring Hill have a kiddie seat service. They should have info for you.
