Can anyone tell me if classicveedub is still in business, please?

I cannot get through to them via email or phone.

I thought rebuilding a VW would be cheap - Shit I was wrong, just don't let the wife know !!!!

Doesn't answer that either.

Wish I could have run my business like that, would have saved a fortune on a phone line and receptionist.

Oh well, $1,000 of spare parts to be ordered some where else.

Go to Vintage, better parts, better service, better knowledge, and they answer thier phones

Thank you, mattberry, I have emailed them with a list of parts and will await there reply, hopefully.

I can't believe the standard of service so called Older VW businesses consider appropriate.

The only VW specialist here in Hobart doubles the price of everything? Usual excuse, freight chargers, I don't want my parts to come via Qantas business class.

Thanks Joe,

Was able to get some parts there, others were out of stock.

They are actually a little dearer than Heritage but the delivery cost to Tasmania is half.

Thanks again.

hi Ken, I'm curious whether just kampers do there free postage deal to Tasmania. Give that a try sometime, might be worth your money and I can't recommend them enough.

One would like to think so:crazy: but I seriously have my doubts.

I have basically given everybody listed a try at getting some business and the majority are simply not interested in answering emails or are overcharging for the same brands?

Must be a lot of vee dub owners out there is they can get away with this sort of service and still be in business.

OK, just a quick report.

After numerous emails and phone calls I am happy to report that the following businesses recommended by the members here are as good as they claim

vintageveedub
vollks
just kampers
and cbperformance

vw heritage should also get a mention, but there freight costs are over the top.

Wolfsburg west is great too.

And I can't recommend Das Resto on the Gold Coast enough. Always super super quick service and great knowledge. I've even called up looking to spend thousands, and rather than spin me shit to sell me somehting, he pointed me in the direction to get what suited my needs better.

I've also had great dealings with Leons Motos at Salisbury QLD (although he kept my stock splindle when he set up my beam and drop spindles, I didnt realise til a year later though, so thats on me too, haha), Airkeld from USA are great, as are Justkampers, Vollks and Matt Berry who was kind enough to send through some odds and ends when I needed them.

There are so many great VW suppliers, please dont support the shit ones.

Das
Vintage

Both these guys fit parts every day, it's the only way they know exactly what fits and what the quality is really like

Used in the past and never again. Same story will not answer emails or the phone, waste of time in my opinion. Give the guys at CIP 1 a go. Respond very quickly and parts arrive in super fast time too.
