front end
Hello all
I am after some info and help, I have a 67 beetle with king pin front.
It has disc on the front, four stud! Pattern but re drilled to porsche stud pattern
Ok so here is the questions
Will it pas road worthey in qld with the re-drills?if not where to buy pre drilled to right patteren?
Best way to lower front? It has the lowering adjusters in the beams but dont seem to do anything? Worth stripping back?
Do you need shorter shocks?
Can I retro fit twin master cylinder on the brakes ?
And finaly the wire loom goes over the roof in the channel is this right

As for the lowering... I have a 1966 K&L Pin Beetle, and i bought a set of drop spindles from Mick Motors.
Drops it 2 1/2 Inches, and no problems getting them on.
My Members ride is here
About half way down...
JMO, but works and looks great.

And no, i dont have shorter shocks. The standards seem to be fine for me.

Haven't actually got it on the road yet  but have
heard from many that the lower to the ground the better they handle.. Look and circuit cars and formula V's for example...

If you have a disc brake conversion it will require a dual circuit master cylinder, you should not redrill the standard rotors is the casting is to
thin and depending on the place of road worthy it might fail during the inspection, lowering the car does not guarantee an improvement in handling, A
lot of other factors have to be considered like castor angle, toe, condition of the front end.
