12v


can i add the later style generator stand and bigger generator and fanshroud etc from my 1500 so that i can run a 12v generator as opposed to a 6v one and an alternator that i have now???

Can't see why not. Get all new bulbs in the correct wattage, new battery etc. You can use toe 6V starter, seems to last for ages. Replace the solenoid with a 12V one (you can use one off a holden, same physical dimensions as VW). Your wiper will also work ( very fast) you may have to wire in an adjustable resister or a H/l bulb in series with supply wire to wiper motor. Otherwise to turn you r wipers off you have to turm off the ignition momentarily as it will overrun the auto self parking switch. Have fun

yeh evry thing ekse is 12v just wanted to know wether it would fit so i can get rid of the ugly alternator
