Brake pad wear

I just thought I'd put this in as an example of what can go wrong. Caliper has been assembled with the piston locating plates reversed, giving more pressure on the leading edge of the pads instead of the trailing edge as designed. This comes from a 72 S Bug I'm wrecking. Also a picture of the seat belt they were using, just the sash!
