I finished welding the kafer cup bar in today, very nice product and now i got a very strong rear end so i should not get any flex when i lanunch hard
in the old girl, cheers Damo.

Craig, the cut out is for 2 fuel lines i will use if i ever go to fuel injection but for now i will just use one of them for the weber 44 IDF's, As
for the brackets and the body i don't think i will have to remove much body metal hopefully. I had some more parts on the doorstep today, stubshafts
are type1 with type 2 CV flanges, Moore mid mount and rhino mounts the rear end should be very solid now. Cheers Damo.

I got one of the new rear stubshafts installed this morning, did sub assembly three times and now all parts line up perfectly, cheers Damo.

Hi all, well its been a while, but i have started getting the transmission built, Dave Butler is building it for me. I have three trans to get parts
from these are 2 x SSC IRS and a 002 bus box. The parts that will be used are 9 tooth mainshaft, 002 3rd and 4th, 10/15 spider and drive gears. I
still need to get a 3.88 R&P, and a superdiff. I have been cleaning the parts at work and they are very clean, so this should make building easy. I
still need to clean intermediate housing and main case. The ratios i have gone four are: 1st 3.8, 2nd 2.06, 3rd 1.26, 4th .89 R&P 3.875. Cheers

Just been doing a mock up assembly of the engine with DTM and trans installed to get an overalll idea of things, i am considering painting the gearbox
black before reassembly, what do you people reckon. Leave it shiny or paint it black?

what are the little alloy bits you have rivited onto the cooling shroud on either side of the mainfold for?
trans colour: whats it going to look like after its been driven for awhile? id go black with polished ribs and bits on it myself
oh, the box behind the fan part, would i be right thinking its for an oil cooler?
the whole thing looks pretty nice:thumb

I'm sure I don't have to answer for Damo but since I have the same DTM (Down The Middle) cooling system from Jake Raby in the US, I thought I'd
chime in.
The alloy bits are to secure the engine bay sealing tin - holts will be drilled in those tabs and "nutserts" used so the sealing tin can then be
bolted to the tabs.
The box behind the shroud is for the oil cooler - lines are taken from the stock cooler location up to the cooler which is fed with air from a big
hose that exits the top of the shroud.

Re. the gearbox Damo - I reckon keep in its natural finish! If you do end up painting it black and polish the ribs, be aware that the ribs tarnish and
loose their shine pretty quickly (even when I used POR15 clearcoat to seal them)....the alloy material of the box doesn't maintain its shine as long
as say pure aluminium. I painted/detailed my old box on the ragtop and it looked cool, but was just another thing to maintain to keep it looking
good.
Damo, could I ask you about a few things?
1) oil pump - size/details?
2) alternator pulley - supplier/material?
3) heads - any pics of intake/exhaust ports and chambers(also any cc measurements)?
4) valvetrain - what are you using re. springs/retainters etc?

Well, i finally got the body on the pan, I had a few lads come round to help(Thanks). The rear suspension still needs more lowering but i am
currently doing that now. The front fits perfect although needs to be lowered further. Very happy with how it looks now. Damo.

That is a nice pic, I haven't stopped looking at the car, still working on lowering the rear, currently taking rear guards off. Now i am on
