went for a visit on the weekend...she's coming along nicely now...
fuel tank painted and in
body trim back on
steering wheel painted and in and dash in
new running boards on
doors reassembled with new rubbers and new interior trim
bumper grommets in and engine lid seal

well more has changed since we last visited... we went to the tas bug in so its been a while.
couldn't take any pics as the car was outside and its too damn bright in the sun to get pics of the interior... but the full interior is now done,
front & rear seats with new TMI seat covers. floor and parcel areas done in custom carpeting. has all come up looking good. new seat belts in. pop
out windows are in. engine tin ware has been painted up (decided not to powdercoat). so just a few minor electrical things to sort out such as the new
stereo installation, a tidy up of the existing wiring loom etc.. then not long and she'll be home. 
oh.. and we're still chasing our mag wheels.

another update from the weekend...
she's almost ready to come home.. few more weeks to go...
stereo is in, engine in and just requires fuel to fire it up...
just a few minor touches etc to do and then we'll pick it up

more update....
finally got the wheels sorted and tyres fitted and balanced...
engine lid had to come off again to reposition the number plate holes... dont know why but it was tucked way up under the light... just looked weird
so have got them to drop it a little.
wheel alignment to be done.. engine was fired up and now running ok. test drive showed everything to be working ok.
setting the ride height is next and completion of windscreen washer bottle installation etc..
am hoping it will be back to us on the 16th... fingers crossed..

well another update.... its soooooooo damn close... we nearly had it back on saturday but a problem with the drivers side front suspension has reared
its head and so its put on hold for another few days... hopefully get her back on thursday now... no updated pics as i forgot the camera... but want
to take heaps when we get her home and will put them up here...

Thanks. We are thrilled with the end result!
I wanted something that was bright white, clean and fresh. Funnily enough it was the interior that caused the most headache. I had to wait for months
and months for TMI seatcovers for the highback seats. But she is home so its all worth it.
Took her for her first run this weekend, we went to Echuca with the Vic club and she started first go this morning despite her waiting patiently in
the freezing cold all night. She ran like a dream ......

Very nice results there, love the white & the wheels, couple of questions, where did you get the chrome trim for the rear window? is it plastic or
metal? where did you get the chrome engine lid vent covers?
I dont mean to be rude but I'm pretty sure the front stone guards are on arse about.

Thanks for the comments guys....
chrome trim for the rear window is either the original one off the car when we handed it over or another sourced by the panel shop... pretty sure it
would be metal as they hate the plastic stuff and took them ages to get some of the pieces etc...
engine lid chrome vents came from Classic vee dub in sydney.
stone gaurds? i didn't put them on... but looking at them i cant see how they could go on any other way?... do you mean the longer piece should be at
the bottom? or they are arse about as in Left to Right??

Yes to both, the longer piece should be at the bottom & to achieve this you will have to swap them from left to right.
