alright - well as you may have heard Westi (Brad) is pretty sick. From what i hear he is still in Hospital in Brisbane - so understandably things have
slowed down a little the last couple of weeks.
BUT - i had a call yesterday morning from Beau saying they have started the car and it sounds good, has no leaks and isn't blowing any smoke. As the
engine was a wrecker JDM engine this was a concern.
So i brought the camera with me today, will have a look and listen and a DRIVE this afternoon (i cautious drive...). I should have video footage of
the car running for tomorrow. Don't expect any burnouts or wheel stands, but you'll get some sound.

So - I have heard you got scared with Craig driving you with the old 1916... so I think you should get him to take you for another spin now you've 2
to 3 times the power

Flintstones - well, i got behind the wheel BUT didn't take it for a drive 
clutch still needs a little playing, master cylinder may be too big so clutch is hard as.
Craig - No probs mate, just hand me over a bank cheque for $40k first, then your free to take a spin!
RESULTS
Its starts!! yay! Sounds good, its much quieter than the aircooled, which does make me happy and sad - wife is very happy about this point. I have a
larger starter motor of some kind on there (i think there is a pic on page 1 of this thread) so it starts beautifully. Revs and responds well. Still
need to check over it all, make sure thermostat is opening properly etc. ITs booked in for Dyno on Friday, possibly early next week if Friday gets
pushed back. Basically we're aiming for a good safe tune that will keep the engine happy and the HP reasonable. Don't expect insane HP figures as
were not trying to squeeze as much HP out of it as we can - there is no need!
i have some vids, currently uploading them so ill put them on as we go. i think there are 6 short vids - no moving shots sorry, but at least you'll
here it start and running.
EXCUSE THE POOR COMMENTARY! NEXT TIME ILL REMEMBER NOT TO TALK ON CAMERA.
Other news is that Brad should be back in a couple of days - i believe he is better now which is great news for Brad. Also means we can get the car
finished off and rego'd. Ill need full blue slip after the 20th so im keen to get it on the road before then.
