Damo - I'm glad there wansl't more damage, I've bought/stripped/worked on a couple of fire-damaged cars (VWs and others) and it's often a
shitefight...

Cam, i was thinking about your racing desires when Paul posted that...........
he drove it off the trailer at oran park bug-in and ran 1st outright!. it had been something llike 4 or 5 years since he had driven it.
nice close ratio/tough gearbox, 2L (plus maybe) EFI motor that went very hard indeed (porsche fan/shroud), heaps of neg camber on front, race sway
bars, full roll cage, stripped interior etc etc..............full sorted/proven package if you can get him to part with it!.
nice bloke, that's been around long enough gather the know how to build a fast race beetle too!
search the oran park or "bug-in" posts...........there are some pics of it in action there
i have his email if you really want to contact him..........definately chasing the price and particulars myself, great car!
