Look what arrived at my place last nite Now rego'd


I picked Marlin up for $1000. its a 86 GL wasserboxer
it has a small dent behind the drivers door and a Dropped valve seat.

So the first thing we are going to do is pull the head off and have a look see.

really happy with the find.

As for Mods not sure yet depends on what I will do about the motor may Go Subi as I have one sitting in the garage and sell the wasserboxer as it was a good runner before the valve seat dropped.

Well Chris it may go to Valla just depends on what we do about the motor.

just perfect marc, just load all them engine bits up that are now under ur house and send the whole thing up to me, i am sure i can build a nice motor from all the parts to fit into her. come on u know u want to and hey just think what with me having 4 kids and all they will all fit as well as the wife, oh hang on mmm on second thoughts keep it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh u want the lastest on mine.... puttign the bottom end back together and i decided to fit new piston rings and seals, as we slide the piston out,,, a huge bit had cracked off(i'll take a pic).. been like it for a while .. good hey... i think i really should give up!!!>...

lol wasnt the ring that was broken, its the piston its self, between the ring and oil seal , a good sign of over boost at some stage in its life!... oh now its a totaly re-con'd engine, top end,bottom end,new pistons etc etc etc, should last a life time now, well it fu**in better!!!!!!

I have not pulled the motor out yet .
I will be leaving the engine together and selling as is.

But i am sure it is a dropped valve seat.
