1964 Karmann Ghia for Parts (Pending Delivery Sold Sold Sold to AVD Guru) Cheers

Hi,

Selling on behalf of a friend. I want to sell as a job lot as we don't have time to split it all up and be left with a handfull of parts and no car to fit them too! The panels had been removed from the car and left out in the weather. Roof looks to have had a sunroof at some time and a panel has been fitted back in and then a vinyl cover added???

Has both doors, passenger probably salvagable. Has all four hinges and are in salvageable condition.

Has drivers external mirror and is in salvagable condition, also has sunvisors and rear view mirror, but the mirror is not correct for a Ghia.

Has Front and Rear screens as well as both door glass, no rear quarter glass or frames.

Has both window regulators and door lock mechanisms, no striker plates.

Bonnet and Engine lid not salvagable.

Has nose badge and front and rear hinge spring mechanisms.

Has front bumper fitted and may be able to be rechromed, rear bumper not complete, centre section and pass may be able to be salvaged.

Has headlights and front indicators and are OK, only one rear tailight is complete the lense on the other one is damaged.

Has a great dash if you have a left hand drive and want to do a conversion, glove box lid is good too as well as having the ashtray.

Has Back Seat but no front seats.

Front and rear bonnet release cables and mechanisms are intact also.

No Wiper motor or mechanism.

Any other questions please PM, car is located in Western Sydney, rolls with 2 siezed wheels, engine is siezed from exposure to the weather and is thrown in as an anchor.

$1500

Cheers,

David

Body is bad, but I have seen worse restored, the Bonnet and Boot where left in a garden bed and that is why they are so bad, funnily enough I would have suspected the sills to be hanging out and although it does need a lot of welding the Body could be resurected. Lets face it Karmann Ghias were designed to look good and rust! Once it goes that will be one less Karmann Ghia we will ever see on the planet.

Cheers,

David

Thanks Rexy,

Can you let me know how much you want for the Engine Lid, Bonnet and Rear Pop Outs complete I assume?

Do you have the "B" pillar too and the chrome trim that goes on the bottom outside of the Pop Out left and right. Prices for these too? I will pass this info on to the interested people.

Cheers,

David

Gees it looks like the car I drove to Sydney to buy in 1967 advertised with slight fire damage, not much retrievable I think the fuel to bring it home would be worth more than the car even with the trailer load of sh..... and also I like sleeping inside. Les
