FOR SALE 1970 SEMI AUTO (VIC) $2400ono NEW PICS!! Will also consider trade for Kombi parts etc
I am selling my 1970 semi auto bug to fund to resto of my Kombi i purchased!
condition
Body - All very good str8 condition, one small piece of rust vibisle under the rear windscreen rubber, rest of body is rust free, Paint is very thin
and there is some surface rust.
Engine - Newly gone over, new big ends and piston and cylinders (now a 1600) Heads were all in good order and runs strong
Gearbox - The gearbox shifts well with no grinds but there it is getting a bit loud
Suspension and steering - The car is lowed with Adjustable front end and the rear is also lowered about 2 inches. Sits nice and looks good, the
steering is a bit loose but could be adjusted (??)
Brakes - The brakes all work well as does the handbrake, Have replaced the master cylinder and both rear wheel cylinders in the last 18 months.
the only thing that doesn't work is the washers (could work with some air, i haven't tried to see)
Included in the sale will be various new rubbers for when i was going to respray it but never got around to it, There is also a new Aerial included
Price
$2500ono

Michael,
sorry to hear your have to let her go.
To any one interested, this was perviously my Wife's car. It was and still is the most reliable and fun car we have ever owned. We both miss it
terribly.
As Michael has stated, it is extremely solid with near perfect pan and shell. This car was simply a joy to drive with the semi auto, I preferred to
drive it over my '67, as it was so effortless. We did briefly consider buying it back ! Unfortunately, the story is always the same, too many VWs and
not enough space to keep them.
I hope someone snaps it up and takes good care of it. You wont be disappointed.
Wayne.

How does the semi auto on these work?
is it like a manual but with no clutch pedal, so you still change gears normally?

Sorry if it seems like a stupid question but do you have to take your foot off the accelerator first?
There was some old Mercedes that were semi auto and you had to do that.

and have offered to send the payment so i`d appreciate it if other new interested buyers were to step in line behind me
