Hey Silverbullet, have you still got any kombi bits and pieces? I'm still missing a few bits from that motor and box I bought from you.

Cheers,

Paul

BTW Tassiesilk I'm in Launnie. Not beetles, just a couple of kombis. Although a Type 3 Fasty would be nice.

What is the local VW scene like?

About 6 months ago I spotted a black oval with 54 "something" on the plates, looked very vice.

Don't see many old Beetle's on the road anymore, just the odd later bugs from the 1970s with the vented rear lids.

Hi VW people,
This is Tassie silk, well I have settled in Tassie. It hasn't been the best for weather but what do I expect, sunny days ... hehe... I have seen a few VW and Kombis around in the Launceston area.. There is two that don't live to far away from me in Waverley.. Might go and see them one day, I see one every time I go down to the Park, its lives on the side of a hill, a red one,and the other one is just up the road....
Well I haven't got my 1970 Beetle here as yet. Will be flying back home to Newcastle at the end of this month, will be seeing and spending a few days seeing my daughter, parents and friends, can't wait.... Then we will be traveling up to Warwick, in Queensland for the VW Drag Racing on Friday to Sunday. Staying at the camping grounds there, can't wait. Then after that, we will be traveling all the way down to Melbourne, catching the boat across. I just hope she holds up for the big long trip....
Will be great to see some VW's down this way and catch up, maybe we could even meet for a luncheon or a picnic, if the weather holds out. I miss the days that I had up in Newy, with our outings...
Well hope to see you.. ;) :tu:
