Viola Porsche 964 wanna be
So the pre-nup agreement was pretty clear.
Wife says she wants a purple Porsche with a great big fat whale tail for her 40th birthday. Well when you are 28 that seems like years and years away
- well guess what this is next year! Anyway - after reading some of the costs of engine rebuilds and gearbox rebuilds etc she says - "what about
painting your bug and putting a bigger engine in it?"
So I started thinking about what I would do - got carried away and though of a Superbug, Subaru Wrx and a Porsche 915. Now my question is what should
be the donor bug to start with? McPherson strut or beam front end. I have a 1969 IRS pan with balljoint beam front end - but thought the handling
would be better with a strut front. any ideas? Tez

Thanks matra - amazing. I did a quick search and found heaps of stuff, some footage on YouTube also that was really neat also. That bug seems very
tidy and well sorted handling wise!
I really have to meet Jak and have a look over it - fantastic.  I am
sure he has a wealth of knowledge to back it up.
Are there any other 5 speed choices other than Porsche - as I have read that they are pretty big and the car requires require quite a bit of
modification. I guess the alternative is to stick with the 4 speed with some strong internals.

When I'm not driving my kombi I am in a 94 Commodore 5 speed manual. I prefer the 4 gears particularly when stuck at 80 km/h. On the hills around
here the commodore doesn't like 80 in 5th, the kombi loves it.

You could buy this cheaper that the cost to convert, Sure its not purple but does look the goods.
