Good local suppliers. Please let us know.

O.K. boys n girls.

Let's try and help each other out a little. Obviously it is not right to sledge on an open forum particular establishments, so lets support the good ones instead.

Please don't recommend someone purely because they're a mate/relo/neighbour. Preferably offer up some personal experiences.

If I'm out of line on this one mods feel free to shut me down. Just trying to avoid finding out the hard way who the good ones are, and help out others at the same time.

Nikos.

Mate from my personal experience there are not many bad suppliers in the VW scene,as atrade user over the years i have dealt with many of the businesses that have been around for years and some that haven't. I buy from different suppliers for various reasons,I also use quite a few of the specialists in areas where it is more cost effective. Most of the time if you phone the reseller or visit him in person and tell him what you require and what your budget is you will get what what you want.

One of the smaller guys around who still focuses on the workshop stuff is Rodger from Southside VW in Underwood Brisbane. He does not have a huge range of aftermarket parts, but most if not all the spare parts he sells he has used himself. Good old stock parts.
He's always had the time to help me out with advise and info on repairs and such.

From a forum perspective, you may want to stick with the forum sponsors eh? ;-)

I agree with alien8 Rodger at Southside VW in Brisbane is excellent,Hes always easy to talk to and if you have some odd or small part he will dig around for it with out a problem.Squizy i understand the "forum perspective"with sponsors, but this is an open forum and what you have writen could be taken the wrong way(Censorship).

You mean you all wouldn't support the very companies that provide money to keep this very forum running?

BTW - one of the best one's, IS a sponsor.

Squizy,
I do use the forum sponsors if they have what i require. But if you read what this thread is about the heading states "GOOD LOCAL SUPPLIERS".So as i am on the south side of Brisbane my"GOOD LOCAL SUPPLIER"is Southside VW.
