T3 drive shafts

Hey everyone. Just wondering if the drive shafts and cv's on a automatic caravelle are the same that are on a manual caravelle?

On earlier Kombis, the manual diveshafts are the same length. However, on the auto gearboxes, one side is shorter than the other as the gearbox is not symmetrical when seen from above. The CVs, however, are the same.

I am pretty sure this is also the case with the early air-cooled T3s. However, when the wasserboxer came out, VW did some slight repositioning of the engine/gearbox location. I suspect that the CVs are still the same, but the auto/manual driveshafts are different lengths.
