rego's for modified

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO SIGN THIS PETITION AND PASS ONTO AS MANY PEOPLE WHO WILL BE AFFECTED BY THESE CHANGES.

THANK YOU!!
The NSW RTA is proposing changes to the current registration system for modified vehicles. These changes will mean that the majority of modified vehicles will be classified as individually constructed and will have to comply with the ADR's current on the day that it goes for registration. Please follow the link below and sign the petition to assist us in taking the fight to the NSW Transport Minister. Don’t forget to forward this email to all your family and friends and ask them to sign it on your behalf.

As a general rule, the government doesn't care about online petitions. If you want to make your opinion felt, then send a letter or an email directly to the department or minister responsible for the issue. A sack full of letters speaks volumes about the community's wishes, whereas a few hundred clicks on an online petition is easily waved away as meaning nothing.

Hi

So is there anywhere to view these new proposals?

We had an issue with this some time ago, I thought when Michael Daily moved on from the roads portfolio that is was over.

Waveman 1500 is spot on. Send a letter. Its worth far more than an internet petition.

Make sure its not a rant, and is not insulting.
It needs to specifically address the issue of how the proposed changes will impact on your situation.
Be specific.
Dont attempt to make representations for broad demographic groups.
Suggest amendments to the detail and content.
And clearly state your name, address and contact details.
Be professional about it and they are legislated to consider your input. Be sloppy and offensive and they will dismiss your efforts.

And thats how the system works.

Where do you get your information? I attended the local RTA information night as an AUVIS examiner and none of this arose, actually I thought the night was a complete waste of time for the amount of info that was available.I stayed for the section regarding engineers certificates but again it was wasted.zi should have gone home and had dinner.

Who is the clown that's decided to start this nonsense again?
Has anything been proposed publicly from the RTA or Labour?

Would like to read what it actually entails....
Cheers

Hi

I just sent a message to Andrew Stoner, the leader of the Nationals asking if he had anymore info on this.

I was talking to some club members from the ACT last night and they told me that there is crack down on imported cars through the docks as well with threats of cars being destroyed or sent back.

I'm not signing this petition until more information is made available.

I can't make it but it would be great if you could bring back some info. Everyone's getting jumpy and signing petitions before knowing what is actually changing! Although it does sound like more reasons just to have an unregistered race car....
