They are illegal in NSW, but people do run with them. I recently took mine off as i got bored of them, and i never got pulled up while driving with them.

I got RBT'ed a few times but they either never notied or never cared. My mechanic never said anything when he passed it for rego a few weeks ago, but he's been our family mechanic for years. If you do get pulled up, just carry a 13mm wrench and take them off asap.

locals here had them for many years...

its mainly because cops don;'t really know what was standard years ago or don't want to go into it...

but NSW Law is NO protrusions...

You will probably be OK until You hit someone or thing with them...

mainly a person... YIKES...

I can't remember where they had their number plates??

maybe screwed to the front under the bonnet...??

I made a bracket with some flat ali bar and bolted it it to the inside of the T-bars using stainless hardware :smilegrin:then added my number plate. you still get the look and it Looks legal. If I could work out how to post a picture I would show you.

With Supers you can just mount it to the apron.

I ran Tbars for a bit while I resprayed my bumpers, I just ran brackets up off the deformation plate so I didnt have to drill the apron but yours being a 71 probably doesnt have the deformation plate, none of my 71s did.

With new plates being made of aluminium they are light as.
was only held on with double sided tape here.

I drilled 2 holes through the apron to attach my plate. I don't plan on having bumpers in the future so the plate has it's spot now.
