car transport

looking at buying a vw in tassie but need it transported to Sydney. Got a few quotes $1300-1500 (not much differnt to the cost of the car itself) and the car must be drivable, car in question is not. I may be out of touch but I thought that was too much, secondly if the cars not drivable the quote was useless. Anyone been through this process or got any advice based on their expiriences. Or anyone got an empty cartrailer coming up from Tassie. Seems like it may be the too$$$ hard basket:(

I just got a quote from one of the fellas off ebay. From norther subburbs Sydney to Brisbane was $1100 inc gst.

So your quotes sound reasonable.

Oh and mine was for a rolling shell.
