My Son bought Me one of these...
work great and you can see the temperature by looking at the metal piece that moves towards the screw head..
Mine never goes over half way...lol
I found the wire that goes to My temperature gauge now so I can check that out...
I also added another bright oil lamp on My dash....
so, I'll notice if it ever comes on....
[comes on when i turn the key on]

great idea, lee.
yes these will act as a rough visual gauge too. but most importantly the light shines as soon as you're too hot. 5 mins install to save your engine!

These work Great
By looking at the top of it You can see how hot [roughly] the engine is.. if the moving metal part is close to the screw
You engine is Hot..
I connected Mine up a bright light in the dash.. and it worked when My cooling flaps closed over when driving to Nambucca

Great day for me - came home to find my new H4 bulbs had come from the UK, got them installed and went for a drive. THEN I saw that the dipstick had
also come in the mail today - talk about tunnel vision, only seeing the one package initially haha
Cheers Ben! Will get it installed on the weekend. The instructions say to use the original dipstick to check the level - do you think there'd be any
issues with very lightly scratching the lines on it to match so I don't have to keep changing over?
