Where do your work on, or park your ride, where do you hide from the missus or kids?

vlad01 ·
thats what I need a few tool cupboards and a work bench. still haven't got around to getting them. using a 1200x1200 crate box with casters on them as a work bench atm 😂 its in the pic.
had my man cave open for business less than a year.
LOWBUG ·
Awsome, good to share ideas on setting up a place to tinker on your project whatever your into.

Heres mine a few months ago. Its a bit messier now the car is being worked on

How does everyone go with the neighbours?
tar76 ·
My man cave, no problems with the neighbours Bob behind me is a 80 year old panel beater next neighbour builds hotrods and other is a truck drive and bring his truck home.
whathaveidone ·
Mother-in-law on one side, other side is cool. Im quiet compared to the guy across the road "tunning" his R33 skyline most days by bouncing it off the limiter for about 5min!!!!
essex ·
perfect!
LOWBUG ·
Once again, awsome man caves. Funny how they become a total mess when your in the middle of a project, have fun first, clean up later. Ben, saw the fire exstinguisher, top idea I'll have to get me one of those, not that I'm looking forward to having to put out any fires. also can a few auto signs nice touch.
whathaveidone ·
Theres 2 rooms comming off the main shed. ones a workshop. the one you can see in the background is a walk in gunsafe!!!!!!

Dude you have a walk in gun safe.... sweet. do you collect?
LOWBUG ·
Snitz, love the traffic lights and signs, let me konw if you want part with any, feels like American pickers. I'd love to get a petrol bowser. Great space dude.
snitz ·
Now ya talking..I want to buy a Wayne 605 Petrol Bowser..but they are starting to get quite expensive. Also wouldn't mind a parking meter. If I had a spare traffic light I would sell.Bought the one I have off a mate who knew someone in the council when they upgraded to LED lights.Mine is wired up for a normal plug and sequences through red, amber, green.
DubLeg ·
Yep, now I can't wait to get a house. It seems like man caves are the new black.
LOWBUG ·
Can get restored bowser SHEL or GOLDEN FLEECE for around $5700.00. Big bucks but they look very cool. I want to do a garage theme bar. Never thought of a parking meter, top idea. Maybe I can get a traffic light "walk" light and change it to "walk and "stagger".
snitz ·
The other light on the ground in a "stop/go" man I picked up from a swapmeet for 30 bucks.

Wow! some epic set ups here.
I'll hold off posting a pic of mine until the car can fit in.
I came upon my cave after kicking mum out of her sewing room so I could set up a video editing suit. It was so good being out of the house I moved in and only go inside for meals (and that's just because they cook for me).
For the car to fit I just have to move a desk and 2 filing cabinets which still leaves me space for the king bed, lounge, 2X 50" plasma screens and all my photography gear. Don't go thinking it's a granny-flat! There are enough tools and toys laying around to call it a man cave. The rear veranda is all tool bench and part time parking for the ride on mower, with another two (dirty) lounges for socialising and the dog to sleep on.
I plan to sleep in the same place as my car when it returns. And mum thinks I should move out because I'm 40 now, ha!

Mine.
Not so impressive but it gets the job done.
Mobile trolley with small Air compressor, Mig and tools is in front of the Falcooon.
