Thanks! I can't wait to start the agonising process of digging through all the how to stuff on here, the whole interior is coming out, cause its been trimmed in light blue... With a dark blue body... Ergh. Then, POWER!!

I like those wheels!!
And 68/69 best years !

I'm thinking of spraying them chrome. I love them, in the flesh they make the dub look tough... Love it!

another owner of a 68 beetle..

Paint work on mine is rough.. not like yours! though I think I might end up going for some kind of ratty hybrid look... I'm located in our nation's capital!

My beetle was half painted that color by by Son who is a spray painter..
I don't like dark colors because of the summer sun..

He also chose the mitsubishi silver gray metallic color..

what We see in the photo is how people driving past etc will see it.. they don't need to be perfect.. lol Lee

Silver really works well on it, I'm actually somewhat jealous lol 😀 I am considering my options... My engine needs work first though... It's pinging a bit and never seems to idle right. When its cold the auto choke comes on and it idles well afterwards... Then after 29 mins driving it drops right back down and stalls.. so while warm, I adjust it up, get it right... Then inevitably 20 mins later, its stalling again... wtf bug :P
