On behalf of the VW Drag Racing collective I would like to wish Dave Stoker a speedy recovery.
Dave was rushed to hospital yesterday and has undergone surgery. As I understand Dave was scheduled for a Heart stent in 3 weeks time. Last night they undertook the 'graft' and he has been given the thumbs up.
All going well he will be back at the track soon as grumpy as ever!
Dave get well soon and...be kind to the hospital staff, they are trying their best.
Lorraine we are thinking of you as well - Enjoy your holiday!

Spoke with Loraine this afternoon she wishes to pass on that Dave is doing well and dosing himself up with the pain killers.
He is still being watch very closely as we would all hope given the nature of his hospitalization.
All going well Loraine will be giving us the green light to give him heaps at the Hospital tomorrow afternoon.

Glad to hear all went well mate, you defiantly found the way to jump the queue on that operation 👍 hopefully those Doctors didn't mess anything up in there, some of the guy's up at Warwick wouldn't know how to take you if you didn't have your usual happy attitude.

I had a good chat to Dave yesterday. He is at home and working through a steady recovery.
He told me that for his 'walks' his goal is to go one extra power pole per day!
Also that the doctor was surprised to see him walk into his office and reminded Dave that he has major surgery!!
Dave said the hospital team in The ICU were fantastic. However it was a very different story in the ward. If you want to hear a great story ask Dave about the 'feedback' he provided to one nurse who was undertaking a delicate procedure and who didnt provide a suitable level of 'care'. The story is classic 'Dave' (ie way too colorful for the forum!!)
Dave was pleased to receive so many well wishes and I'm sure we all hope to see/hear His Grumpiness back at the track soon.
