+4 Cam gear for Type IV WANTED

Folks, looking for +4 marked cam gear for a Type IV motor(kombi 1.7-2.0). Check out your used cams and let me know if you have what I am after(looking for grades +3, +4 and +5).

Forgive the ignorance, but what exactly is a "+4" cam gear? Four more teeth? Four more thou.? Four more friends on facebook?

It relates to the difference in pitch radius of the teeth on the cam gear, so you can adjust cam backlash.

It's a special gear for golf players.

Have a read up about engine tolerances in aircooleds and doesn't only apply to Type IV motors..

Used for optimum backlash between crank/cam gears(which is why VW supplied different grades) so you don't get gear clatter and poor cam timing.

Anyways folks, check your stashes, there will be a "+4" marked on the machined edge of the gear.
