Just picked this beauty up today for $5000 has a port folio from how much money the lady put in even for fuel and the klms each time she refilled it to a brand new engine thats only got 11000 miles and it has a 40000mile warranty it has a few nick nacs that needs fixing but i am happy i have a beetle thats soon to be registed

Now the to do list
Give it a respray same colour already have a paintbooth lined up
Tint windows,
Lower it 1 and a half inches
Replace drivers rear rubber
Reseal windscreen
Im going to replace the carpet cause im not happy with the current carpet
Clean hoodlining up
And give it a name any suggestions anybody?

Since ive got it ive sanded it back on last weeked and the i thought ill attack the little bit of body work that needed to be done today i got all the bog that was over kill off the rear bever and apply a little and sanded down untill i was happy and also got a old friend to come out of retirement to weld two 5 cent peice rust repair plates in and i also have some personlised plate to suit it also

Okay time for an update ive been flatout at work so ive hired a friend thats a panel beater to do the rest of the panel work and ive decided to do a colour change to mango green today i removed most of the stuff my friend wanted me to and tarped the carport in so full steam ahead
Cant wait to drive her cause ive only driven it to the end of my street and back

Got stuck into all the little nooks and crannys on the weekend

Found tiny bits of rust i oxidined them and then found stucture cracks on my guards so i got the welder out weded them shut and grinded them back also welded the holes on the drivers door from the ugly mirror up
The body is just about ready for primer and also two of four guards are nice and staight ready for primer
I got my paint so if weather permits cross fingers it will be painted by the weekend so happy looking forward to driving it soon so happy with all the work thats getting done

Guards boot and bonnet are getting painted this week just have to save up for the rubber kit, carpet, hoodlining and a few other bits and bobs so happy i can see the light at the end of the tunnel

Just getting some rubbers for the guards today then ill be bolting them back on every one has told me to take my time when putting everything back together cause im inpatiant i think ill listen to them cause this will be the nicest car ive owened so far hehe

Haha the tarps have came in handy twice so far we dont have and concrete in the carports so its only dirt
the paint is de beer im pretty sure

Its been a while since i have posted any progress
i finally brought my rubber kit with chrome inserts
and what a bugger the chrome inserts were after trying for roughly 20hours i
gave up and put my windows in without the inserts
I also used hoodliner/vinyl spray and painted the hoodliner
Put new door trims in
Installed window machanisms and rubbers
And installed the running boards
My todo list
get an auto electrician out to fix my wiring issues
Install new carpet
Put a few little peices on
Fix the bowden tube cause some welds let go inside the tunnel
Then its rego so happy with how it looks
and wow alot more money was spent then what i thought
but its worth it
And i got insured with shannons 🙂

It's a good thing that you are very handy- that saves heaps of $$ . It's a shame you had to sell so much stuff- but you have an awesome VW now.

Major progress made
Got all my electricals fixed and wow everything thing is so much better brighter lights and everything works so happy with the outcome
And it was cheap
It is registed now and i took it for the first drive tonight
Over an hour in traveling and even got stuck in traffic and it ran nice and cool the only little hicup i had was a sparkplug failed on me and i still made it home on 3 cylinders so tomorrow shes getting new plugs and a minor service when i finish work and saturday sorting out all the little glitches and what ever else needs doing i will post pictures after i detail it 🙂
