Yep the speedo's are KPH
The piston on the shelf is 1600 but has a nice hole through the top of it 😏
I do have another nice original 1600 piston just pulled off an engine.. ?

It is the connector under the bonnet at the front to connect the heater and demister ,Sorry should have given you some idea what it was

No idea mate, this was some accessory and I believe the originals cost a good chunk of change.
But one guy is making them from NOS VDO parts in the states, may not look exactly alike, but its got the ringed face that matches the pre 68 speedos, not cheap though but at least its like new.
