Yeppers, it's a hearse. Been lusting after one of these since I was 14🙁
They were coachbuilt by a company who's name I can't remember atm. Alot of them doubled as meat delivery vans for small German towns. They had over a tonne of insulation between the inner aluminium walls and the outer shell, an inside light etc... So if you needed a meat wagon (in more ways than one) you could order it with a drain plug in the back so as you could hose it out before a funeral 😎

Yeah there were some splitty hearses made too. They were based on single cabs with an alu body(not the dead one!?) with windows and two swing doors on the back.

I saw one at a show in England about 6 yrs ago that had been converted into a camper - Creepy but cool!

Acording to an article in volksworld a few years ago the split herses were also produced on a dual cab chassis.
