Brad ·

Cool, you have mail 😀

Not quite what I am after but I like your style

Anymore takers ? 😎😎

last celtic warrior ·

Here's a drawing I did for my sons a couple of weeks ago. I did it as a colouring in sheet but coloured it digitally afterwards. Maybe something along these lines for the shirts? About time I made another contribution to the club I reckon...

Brad ·

Not really what I am after. I have an idea now I just have to find someone to draw it 😀

last celtic warrior ·

Here's an idea Brad... Let us all know what sort of thing you picture in your mind and let some of us fartistic types come up with some drawings. Some of us out here in VW land have a bit of experience in design and drawing... (and I don't just mean me. LOL)

daz67 ·

So whats the idea?

And Hurry up as the shirts are ready for the screen printers!!!!!!

baybuscamperkid ·

either u2u me or post ur idea so i can have a play around over the next couple of days.

Brad ·

Right... I have U2U's this to all those who asked but here goes anyway...

What I want is a picture as followed..

A tough looking Manx Buggy filled up, I mean really full of camping gear. Hanging over the sides and apile on the ground. A guy standing beside it trying to cram it all in. Then a lady walking towards him with another load of camping gear. Below I want a caption that says something like " Manx Club, get out there and enjoy life" or words to that effect.

So what do you think ?

HotRodMatt ·

So when do you need it Brad?

Brad ·

next week or so at the out side. We need to print the shirts before 20 Nov 03 ish

HotRodMatt ·

Full colour? Line art only? 2 colour? Three colour?

Brad ·

full coulour would be great 😀

Don't really know. It will be printed on from an image though so whatever we can get really.

baybuscamperkid ·

this what ur looking for? i can clean it and colour it if so.

Brad ·

baybuscamperkid - that is the right idea but I need a tougher looking buggy, needs a roll cage and some people so to speak.

Cheers,

last celtic warrior ·

OK, after a quick talk with Brad, this is what I came up with...

Andy ·

I think Brad might prefer blue and orange 😀 😀 😀

Brad ·

I think we are getting somewhere now.... can we sort that ladies butt out ... ( man I am gunna get flogged for that request 🙁 )

Bizarre ·

Is that an oil leak under the car???? :P

Brad ·

What if we put a map of Australia in the background ??

HotRodMatt ·

So why didn't you say you wanted a competition?

I'm probably too busy at the moment to finish a pic this week with our new son taking up most our time anyway. Which is a shame because what you want is a real fun image!

But seriously if you wanted people to produce pictures - using up their time - then deciding who you will use you should have said that. I got the impression you wanted to see people's style then choose and let them then spend the hours to do the image.

Anyway, I hope you end up with a great t-shirt. I don't have the time at the moment to spend 20 or so hours on an image that may not be used.

Brad ·

I never meant to confuse people. I had the idea in my head of what I was after. I U2U'd a few people who showed interets and the post did the rest.

I have not chosen an image yet and still haven't actually seen what I am willing to spend hundreds of dollars on producing. I though we were still bouncing ideas around.

I like all the artwork I have seen but none of it is what I am after so to speak.

The actual style I was after is was more like this :

I must admit I never thought about how many hours went into it as I would be flat doing a Ronald McDonald colouring in picture. 🙁🙁 SO if you feel I have wasted your time for that I aplogise. I would still love to see your handywork though and am alway looking to get picture of buggies. I am some what addicted. :o:o

Brad ·

..

last celtic warrior ·

OK Brad, I edited the image but only under your advice, so all the flack is still your's... LOL :P

Brad ·

Looks the same.... can we make the buggy tougher ?

last celtic warrior ·

OK, here's a slightly beefed up version with proper colour and the white backing (gives a border) you have with screen printing.

handycam ·

love the botom one u posted brad very sick:thumb

wadd ·

hey brad who did your sample pictures can a person buy them or get their baja drawn like that :bounce

Brad ·

They are from a guy in the USA called Dave ( www.bigdealart.com ) he does the stuff for the Manx Club over there.

twoguns ·

i am not an artist... but i would like to put in some imput, if not appreciated or wanted then please ignore.

this is what i think. keep the colours they look nice. lose the eyes... if anything give the headlights a frown style shape to promote attitude. fatten the roll cage. lower the wheels more (if you raise the body you would have to adjust the male figure in the background.) replace the skid pan with an exposed front beam to expose the front beam. mount the nudge bar with spotties off the front beam fatten the shocks on front and include some rear shocks. off set the tyres front and rear a little more for bulk and reverse the angle of steer on the front to show more rim. oh and thong the butt.

its a good effort thus far, and i know easy for me to say the changes as i cant actually do 'em. but i think if they are done you will get close to what youre after.

HotRodMatt ·

roughing. conceptualisation....

people and camping gear to be added...

HotRodMatt ·

Hope this is cool.

bus356 ·

i don't own a manx and i'm not in your club and i don't think I will be joining any time soon but surely car vet you can make that lady can look hotter!! The manx looks sick (although maybe not as tough as Brad wants to get it) but that woman is just wrong! Hot rod Matt's one down the bottom is on the right track though!! If you can draw manxs that good surely you can draw a better lady!!

HotRodMatt ·

Would be happy to see your one bus356. I'm sure busboy and Vet would too - not to mention Brad.

Brad ·

HotRodMatt wrote:Hope this is cool.
Yep it is coolio and will be getting some shirt time real soon :thumb:thumb:thumb

Cheers,

bus356 ·

Hey Matt, sorry I seem to have offended you, just having a joke brother!! I said the manx looked sick... anyway I'll leave you to yourselves. Good luck with your pic. Take it easy!! :kiss

HotRodMatt ·

Not offended... just would like to see the best design for their shirt...

last celtic warrior ·

People can say what they like about my artwork, I'm not bothered at all. But here's the deal, I don't like baywatch type girls... Good wholesome aussie chicks are where it's at, whether they've got a big or small butt, saggy or perky boobs, face on back to front or whatever, they're all somebody's sister, daughter, mother, wife or girlfriend and are beautiful in their own way, except for the ones that aren't... LOL The point is, this is supposed to advertise how much fun the average person can have with a buggy, not how well molded your butt is (especially after being wedged in a fibreglass buggy seat for 2 days straight).

I'm sure most women out there would give you a swift kick in the goolies if you said to them "nice ride, shame about your bum"...

Anyway, moving from Tassie to Qld doesn't give a person much time to fiddle with a drawing until all the details are to the liking of the majority of the voting audience. If you don't like the girl in my drawing, look at a diferent drawing, or photo, or maybe even your girlfriend...

Glad you like the buggy though bus356, it could have been a bit better, the whole drawing is a bit rough...:cussing
