hey
in the process of painting my kombi and want to do it right so im going to remove the dash board .
i have found all the screws that hold it on but what else is the to look out for when pulling out a dash?? there looks to be a shit load of wires. What else needs to come out?? does the windscreen wipers?,glovebox,handbrake assembly,steering wheel assembly? and what about the fresh air assembly with all the cables whats the easiest way to undo all that?

Only way to restore properly is remove it all, especially if you find ANY rust. 馃槑

only NEED to remove wires to remove dash, SHOULD remove everything tho to do the job right

Heater cables are the worst part of it.

when I rebuilt the engine in our commodore I used the video camera to show me where all the wires and hoses went it was very helpful

would be good to have a video camera but dont 馃檨 but yer thats what i thought col i triedf on the type 3 and they are a bitch!!!

i gotta do slot of rewiring to fit my V6 in so it should be fun!!!
