If your talking about the windscreen washers, then its pressure. Just in front of your feet, remove the cap, underneath this there is a container to hold the water, has a cap to top up the water and to the side of this a tube with a tire valve on the end. Pump this up to 30 - 35 psi (from memory).
However, usually the valve in the switch fails from old age and they leak.
I converted mine to an electric motor setup many years ago.

Convert it to an electric motor pump much better and they work every time not just when the bottle has air pressure in it.

I need to do this as well.
I havent looked yet - but is it a big job ?
What do you have to do / buy ?
I have seen a kit it supercheap for about $35.00

as far as i can tell all u need is a waterbottle with a small electric motor to pump the water, some mounting brackets to fit it, some new hose to plumb it to the squirters and a new switch on the dash to operate it. should be a quick and simple operation.
