i dropped into our local vw shop today. he had been closed for a while. found out why.

les's young fella had just been let out of hospital although he still wasnt feeling to well. anyway he passed out on the way home and put his beloved 72 bug on its roof and into the guard rail.

he didnt hurt himself and actually only got a few scratches, but he was put into a controlled coma due to his health.

bummer the actions of staff at a hospital have seemd to have cost the life a great little bug.

no ive got a 74 or76 chop top at my old mans and dont like it but if i can find another body it would solve all my problems cause the rest of the car is fine, if anyone has a body out there for a 70-72 sbug body in nsw it would help.

I was going to say there is "No Such thing as a Sh*t day", but Now I won't...

That is the worst roof damage I've seen on a Beetle... I rolled one many years ago and did very little damage to the roof... it was a 61 model.. but You were lucky to get out of that.... You should have took the Doctor to court.... they are covered by insurance....

The Problem with police... the fines are too high...
and they don't have a sense of humour... [not human??]

But the Doctor discharged Him from Hospital!!!!! then He collapsed at the wheel... after being discharged......

the accident was caused by the Dr who discharged Him.....
Drs cannot knowingly let someone drive when they aren't well enough....

for those that want the real story it goes like this from the source. i was crook so i saw this doctor who said i had tonsilitis and put me on iv antibiotics for 2 days sending me home at nights on oral antibiotics. on the thursday he sent me home to see him on monday morning. rather than stay in newcastle by myself i drove back to sydney and on the monday morning was on my way back when i crashed. i made it to about 5 km from the turn off to newie when it happened. i cannot say anymore about it cause the navy's legal department is now involved. but this is the true story of what happened.
