Well if anyone has followed my story of moonlite...
i have been into VW's for over 3 years now and been building one in particular... however this is my first ever licenced car.
Its a 1964 beetle with a 1800 motor in it. Its been sprayed in gunmetalgrey and i am awfully proud of it.
some pics...

Ok now, the engine is out and the heads are off to be replaced with 044's
with astroker crank to go in after.
.... undates will keep comin
*did* ·
nice one!
when you say it has an 1800 in it, is it an 1835 type 1 engine? thats what i have
moonlite6t6beetle ·
nah from the person of who i originally bought the engine off he said he had a stock 1600 and ran an 1800 bore in it.
The colour hasnt been buffed yet... hopefully it should come up a little better, but i love it as it is
Oasis ·
Bewdiful car, and I love Northam. Great place.

That probably means you have an 1835cc engine. Plenty of torque 🙂 Especially with twin carbs

buzzbug ·

RISKY^VW ·
cool car dude 🙂
nice paint u do it your self?
moonlite6t6beetle ·
The furure plans of this car is just to have an everyday driver in which i can cruise in... i am currently building another in which should be alittle more trick looking... but thisone is ideal for everything i need right now...
Futrure plans is to drop out the engine for a real good deatil... and possibly a respray, as i am not extremely satisfied with thte colour choice

JVL?
ikube ·
Excellent !!
but 1 quick question ... how can u guys drive them out ?
& $$$$$$ ??
Keep up the good work & projects out there !!
moonlite6t6beetle ·
well, i live on a reasonable size property and it allows me to go cruizing every now and then, but i really dont like driving it on bad land, so also because i live in a rural area, i can gather my brothers "L" slip, which tells officers the name birthdate and crap of my brother, so i just take that out on the road with my brothers slip cos i know all his details.
ducky ·
way cool young man

would it really pick up the performance of your vehicle... with a JVL lightweht system... i and my borther are currently building a street/strip dub and was curious on the characteristics of it... such as is it paintable... how much weight would it reduce ect.

TextHa moonlite,Very paintable,Talking kilos to grams in weight. The product is flexible and cheaper than buying steelie bars.More weight you take out the performance starts coming in to effect.JVLRacing
