whos on that has a splitty as I need to know the colour of wires and where they go on the bak of the fuel gauge........please please馃檨

Mine has brown as the ground wire, and a kinda mauve or pink with a brown spiral stripe to positive. (Black to the light)

think I've got it sort...I think,well its working but the bus is 12v and I got the gauge from a 58/59 splitty(6 volt).
will put my tester on the wire from the tank to see the voltage.
though it looks like there are different coloured wires in some years....?

not sure what year they started with them.....me thinks 59??
mines a 66.VDO gauge.
