After our weekend at Valla we've taken an extra couple of weeks off to cruise up from Nambucca to the Sunshine Coast in the kombi(hopefully we'll make it!!)
So just thought i'd ask in case anyone has some fave camp sites they'd like to share with us so we too can enjoy them.馃槈

South-West Rocks is really nice...but below Nambucca...

Go a little further than Sunshine Coast and get to Rainbow Beach....near Fraser Island

Head to the coast from Gympie....

Sunshine Coast is getting very developed now....but hinterland around there is cool

Well, it's another choice...

When you get to the Sunshine Coast take the road towards the airport and turn right to Mudjimba Beach about .5 km before the airport turn off. You can stay at a quite caravan park or park in the car park at the beach (toilets and showers) and no one will bother you. From there you can also park/camp at north shore near Twin Waters resort by the river and the beach 1.5 km south of Mudjimba.

Arrawarra and Woolgoolga are north of Coffs, maybe 45 mins north of Valla (Rhys could confirm exact timing).

Evans Head is still small and beautiful, 2 hours north of Coffs and an hour south of Byron.

Broken Head Caravan Park, 5 ks south of Byron, much nicer than any caravan parks in Byron.

Then take the Murwullimbah turn off, and turn right after the "welcome to the Tweed" sign and take the coast road up through Pottsville, Cabarita, Kingscliff, several nice caravan parks along the coast road, all about an hour north of Byron.

Visit Robo at Tweed, park the Splitty in his drive or convince him to leave pidge out and park in the shed...

Then head straight for the sunshine coast, not much in between...

Enjoy
