You Know It\'s Cold When:

You try to open the door to your '74 beetle and the handle breaks.

You know its cold when you sit in your car and the seat cloth shatters.

You know its cold out when you remember that your rear window defroster stopped working.

You know its cold out when all your tires are flat because the air condensed.

You know its cold out when you reach for the window wiper towel and it is frozen to the carpet.

You know its cold when you try to turn your ignition key and it breaks.

You know its cold when the water in you gas tank has expanded and overflowed into you trunk.

You now its cold out when your engine won't crank because there is a block of ice around your crank pulley.

You know its cold out when you step on your car because you couldn't see it.

You know it's cold out when the VW's heat actually makes you feel warm

You know its cold out when all you see are air cooled VW's on the road.

You know its cold when you get to work and the block of ice in your engine compartment is still there, but bigger.

You know its cold out when your oil looks like a frozen coke.

You know its cold when what you realize what you thought was the road, was the railroad tracks.

You know its cold when the condensation in the exhaust pipe made a horizontal iceicle, 3 feet long.

You know its cold out when you flush the toilet and it doesn't go down.

I had our Kombi out at Jimna on the weekend at the Offroad race....and......you know its cold when the Kombi is covered in ice....at 7.00am Sunday morning it was minus 2 degrees.....

u know its cold when every morning u have to turn the windscreen wipers on to clean the frost off so u can see the road. and then in 5 minutes its back again. (this happens to me every morning)

You know it's cold when you have to use a teflon chisel to get the door open and to free up the wipers. (Living in Canada we had to do that a few mornings in winter. minus 37C it was)

-20 in Germany really sucked. -5 in San Pedro de Atacama (Chile) without any electricity and limited sheets was rather unappealing too.

Everything here just seems like a joke next to that. Still, cold is cold! We've had -3 the last couple of weeks. So much for my jokes about Qld weather. At least Frenzix in Sydder's is in the positive range.

u know its cold when u develop frost bite on your knuckles from driving to work in a VW without heaters.

Try a mini Moke without a heater and no roof, it'll toughen you up once you thaw out.
