LOL , on he way back from last weeks cruise i had the 67 , 1300 past the 90mph mark! It loved it , probably the first time aswell ! It's never run better!!! The look on some folks faces as i shot passed in a white and chrome blur!! Ha ha ! Glad to see your combi is recieving a well earnt thrash!

One of our favourite memories of our first 1600 Kombi was the very first time we actually overtook another vehicle...and it was a road train !

Looks like you're hangin' on for dear life. Is there any wind noise in one of those things at that speed or do you go into a different time sphere where everything is silent?

Brad, there is wind noise but only because of the mesh visor primarily.. Same theory goes when the rack is on. Generally, VERY quiet.. Engine noise, just a purr.. Road noise and so on.. Quiet also, but would be more so if there was fatter boots than the 135's on the front.

More room than a Beetle, and as you pointed out, also a lot quieter.
