I knew my run of good luck would soon run out! All i had to do was take off the front bumper , drill out the brackets and put the bumper back on and hey presto the front bumper being 1/2" lower. YEA RIGHT!

Firstly tools missing out my box saw me run to a mates for a few spanners. Then a bolt snapped and spent 2 hours retreiving the broken end out of the chassis. Soon after my drill broke so i had to go to the auto shop for another. Then it broke again!!!!!!! Ahhhh. Gave up on that and turned to my next favouraite hobby , "place the sticker". Trying to put a slight arc onto club sticker on my front screen i nearly stuffed that up and after alot of hassle and heat gun i've managed to sort it!

Today was not meant as a spanner day. It's raining and cold , my cars getting damp, so i gave up , bumper still off car , car covered and garage door shut. I've retired to my room , crownie in hand and forget about lowering bumpers for a while. Think a curry is in order!

Anyone else had a no go day on the spanners?

I am illergik to spanners
Mechanics and panel beaters went to school to learn to use tools .....I didn't !
Years ago I was trying to put a towel rail up in our new house.......11 holes in the wall and the towel rail was still on the floor. I rest my case
I am not allowed to even look at the drill without adult supervision !

Robo,
Thats funny, I dropped the engine in my Beetle yesterday to fix a leaky oil cooler, mine went ok, no problems.

never had spanner problems, but hate electronics. spent today getting my rear light clusters working (now operational so long as i dont blow on them/touch them) still blowing fuses on a mystery wire up front and managed to blow up part of my $2 taxi meter tat i picked up for the bus today.
