Well had a great day at the park, driving johnyB's baja (when are you going to make a few posts mate?) well i think john left some of the buggy boys in awe of the air born antics!!!! photo's to follow. And also john and I are after a video of the day and also a pic of johns first jump!!!!, if anybody could help that would be great?

now what you have to remember is that the pic was taken with the car above the able top jump, so it doesn't look as high 😉
and due to the bad landing, this is what the car left on the track

Unfortunately I had too many things going on, and didn't really have the time. I did finally get my old motorbike sold though🙂

I only hope that there is NEVER an injury at these events as as far as i know i don,t believe there is any insurance .Now being an orginized event some body MUST except recponceibility for such an event and this stage i would consider this to fall back onthe land owner .Now i know this is all fun but please be carefull with running this event as if there is an accident it could endanger alot mre than a few egCar Events Aus Wide

BANG! airbourne.... musta been the spray on flubber... don't deny it I saw u guys down the back of the dam.... John was under the car sniffin the wheels for ages......'woah cheap high man...' he would have had it off the runway and in tahiti by now had there not been a second clump of dirt in the way..............😉

this is the attitude that is screwing up events australia wide...time people took responsability for their own actions instead of trying to sue anyone that happened to be around them when they did dumb stuff.

Nic thats was my jump, john did a larger one earlier on, but we didn't get a photo on my camera. he landed right infront of the berm in the background and just straight over that too!!!!!!
I agree with secoh here. We did this at our own risk, if i injured myself that is my fault, and i hope that most ppl in the vw community are like that.

:cry my first run round wasn't too-oo bad...... Just can't cope with an audience in the car... or the shame of the wire falling off,, or the giggles, or realising ur brakes were on a smoko, or a plug getting drowned in muddy water.....and, and,,,,,, look gotta go soak mah dentures now......😉

no it was good, I never made it to the middle bog hole. First time round drowned in the big bog hole, then second run tried a big jump amd killed the sump :o u did better than me!!!

Yes.... was impressed with the whole jumping thing.... even though i did not get out of first gear once around the track..... to scared of the trees.
If you go to an event like this run by someone that has opened up and let you onto the property to have some fun like this.... i would not even consider any legal action.... we are all adults and in it for fun to to beat each other and do damage..... got to remember that its all fun and its your own fault if something happens and you should be a big enough person to take your own responsibility....

good photos if only there was one of the first jump of the red bug it took off im sure i think anyone could have walked under the car on top of the jump it was atleast two cars high very mad 😠😠😠😠😠😠

The stalled car on the line is definitely part of the video, but turned it off while you were out fixing it. But did get the rest of the run.
Unfortunately there are too many people in this world who will not accept responsibility for their actions. We decided to go out there and enjoy ourselves, so we have to accept what happens. It is no ones fault but our own.

One is 17, although they could use him to dig all the holes and move the dirt. The 20 year old may be a problem. She doesn't like blisters and dirt, hey, she could always could up the cows!

Well after alot of years in motor sport don't anybody come crying on here if there is ever an accident ,because trust me if some one gets hurt weather they be a paticipant or a spectator someone will be held recponcible. Now i know there has been a lot of crit ism at my original post on this issue but i would hate to see anybody loose everything over abit of fun . Yes we all think that there will never be an accident but sooner or later there will be, and sadley it is not the hurt person that will ussually take further action but family trying to look after the hurt persons best intrest and as we all know this is where it will go all pear shaped.Now i know we should all take recponcibility for our own actions BUT as this is an orginized event if some thing were to happen this will go further than you could ever imagine. Well i hope of coarse no accident ever does happen but don't say you were all not warned.

yes yes.....i was seriously scared for that poor little kombi camper poking its arse out from the "volkswagen graveyard" on the first bend..............................by the way....impressive collection of half rotting vws!!!!!!!! if there weren't so many half demented baja drivers tearing around the place i would have gone and checked out that type 3...........................
my 2 cents on the insurance stuff------------------- it is the same as with equestrian sports ............. just get a water tight legal document for all spectators and participants to sign...........it sounds awful but the "organisers" do have to protect themselves.........and yes it would be a shame if someone was hurt do to stupidity.,.......BUT we do all take our lives into our own hands.......................
