identity help

hi guys,
first of all, i am new to volkswagen. however i just bought an oval beetle which i though it might be 1954 oval
I am still not sure about this, so is there anyway that i can check the identity of the car such as year of manufacture, type of engine, etc etc.

and since i haven't seen many of 54 oval in this forum. is 1954 oval considered rare in australia

go to www.vwfool.tk.. in the tech section i have written a chassis Identifying script.. find your chassis number, and it will tell you what year beetle you have 🙂

that's a great program just type it in and done, i guess i have to go check my chassis number as soon as possible

the chassis number is the one behind the spare wheel right damien ?

does it mean that my model are import model if it is written there "manufactured in west germany " ??
