where on a late type 3 is the best place to mount a little light to shine on speedo and fuel gauge. i am thinkin of one of the ones you can get at super cheap auto that are easy to wire up as i now have no lights except blinker indicators in any of my gauges...don't ask!
i would really like lights for the drive up as it'll be at night as will the trip home

Go to one of those camping stores and you can buy one of them head band lights. They look weird but work they tell me. Ha Ha Ha sorry could't resist

I also think it would be quicker to fix the dash lights, even if you just replace the globes and wire it into the light circuit anywhere...

if the stock dash lights arnt bright enough design a system that uses ultra bright leds
