4.5\" mangels · Aussieveedubbers

My 4.5"x15" mangels just arrived from the states, 6 days after ordering.
they cost me Aus $130 each all up no duty or gst!
They only cost a little more new here in Oz for the 5.5", but as no one seems to carry the 4.5" here, I am happy that I finally got some
My 65 beetle slowly coming together!

Where in the US did you buy them from? How did you manage to avoid the duty?

Hows the nose of the splitty coming along?

They were sent to my door with UPS. from California Import parts.
I am not to sure of the process with customs and duty but they got through!
the splitty will not be fixed until the beetle is on the road and I have moved house. then It is going to get a full service on everything, body mechanicals,interior ect then it can rest, with the Beetle doing most of the daily driving

i recon you will be getting a bill from little johnnie howard, i had some goods for about six weeks from the states and a bill arrived from fedex with all the gov charges on, what a bummer, or maybe you will be lucky, hope you are bud,,

if the bill arrives by australia post then there is every possibilty that it may go missing along with all the birthday cards from my nan! :thumb
