VolksWorld Magazine Direct To You!

https://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/threads/26684/volksworld-magazine-direct-to-you

Ivan ·

Hi everyone, just a quick message to let you all know that the next issue of our pommie magazine VolksWorld has more input from Australia!

We've got a show report on the VW Nationals, Syndey.

From what I gather you don't get to see our magazine until at least a month or so after it's come out - and I'm guessing you want it sooner?!

We've had quite a bit of material from Australia in the magazine this year; with Matt Raine's '55 Kombi, The Illawarra VW show, Christian Calvert's Karmann Ghia, a feature on the Antarctica 1 Bug and Country Buggy of Ray Black, Steve Müller and Bill Moore and now the Syndey Show and drags.

If you would like to get the magazine delivered to your door it'll work out to $140 Aud as we're doing a 25% discount until August 18th.
And it'll get to you way before it hits the news stands in Australia.

If you like the sound of this just email ipcsubs@qss-uk.com or visit our website at www.volksworld.com

We'll have more input from Australia in the future.

Thanks for your time,
Ivan McCutcheon

Good day Ivan-there is something wrong with your pricing policy. Two years ago I bought a 12 month subscription to your Mag and it worked out to about $1.50 dearer per issue than from a local newsagent. This new offer with the 25% discount still woks out to $11.66 per issue and they are only $10.60 at the newsagent-what am I missing here? When I subscibe to VW Trends(yes I know I shouldn't be making that public knowledge)it works out to half the cost locally.

The price difference would be that you will get it air mail with a subscription and sea freight (much cheaper) if you buy it from the shops.

That perhaps should be the case-but not so.With both Volksworld and VW Trends, there were many times when they turned up at the Newsagents B4 I got mine-really used to piss me off.A mate of mine used to take the piss out of me by coming around with his copies he just got from the shop and asking" has yours turned up yet" Any way by the time they turned up by sea freight they would be history books.

I'm getting a bit of a collection of VolksWorld happening...and always on the look out for the new edition.... I usually head into McGill's, after work in the CBD, to buy it 🙂

Ivan if you wanna see the real deal hardcore sus out a Victorian show.No offence to other states but you must admit that theres many a sweet ride that deserves a volkworld feature that has been created in Victoria.I mean we had he official VW factory right here.peace

Ivan ·

Thank for the kind words on the mag - we try to run a good mix from all the elements of our hobby - stock, custom, race, classic etc. We also like to showcase at least one mindblowing feature car each month.
As the title of the magazine includes 'World' we also like to focus on VWs and shows from anywhere in the world - we had one of our guys in Australia earlier this year and has was very impressed with your VWs.
We are happy to run material from Aus - so, if you can be bothered to take the time out to take some good snaps of your car and spend a bit of time telling us about yourself and your cars - we'll try to publish it.
Send any submissions to: VolksWorld Magazine, Leon House, 233 High Street, Croydon, Surrey, CR9 1HZ, United Kingdom.

As for the questions on subs prices I am not aware what the magazine costs in Aus - if it does work out cheaper to buy from the newstand that is good news for you - but, I will look into it though and find out if there is a cheaper way of providing subscriptions to the 'Aussieveedubbers' we may be able to sort out a special deal for members - I might need to know how many of you would be interested. I am pretty sure you should have a subs copy at least three weeks before the magazine comes out - but again I have taken on board what has been said on this thread and will look into that too.

Thanks very much
Ivan McCutcheon
